BRODIE WYATT BLACKWELL
Brodie comes from a long line of successful wizards, thus making his life choices all the more disappointing when he ran off to spend his career, or lack there of one, as a Knight Bus conductor. He has one younger brother who works for the ministry and is a shining example for the family and their successes. Brodie has always known that his parents loved his brother more than him. His brother was brilliant with his studies, a Ravenclaw Prefect, and a Head Boy in his final year at Hogwarts. And Brodie, well, he was just a royal screw up. Brodie has come to accept that now and it hasn't bothered him for a very many years.
Brodie's family comes from considerable wealth, but Brodie's parents are never willing to lend him any galleons, because they know he'll blow them instantly on reckless partying. So Brodie has gotten used the living the life a poor man. He really wishes things weren't this way, but he doesn't believe in himself and he has gotten so used to leading his life of mediocrity that he doesn't think he has any skills to do any better.
Brodie has lineage connected to Desdemona Xanthos. His mother was a descendant of Desdemona's sister.
SNAPPY Brodie has a very snappy personality. It's not so much snappy in terms of angry or annoyed, but he just frequently has a sassy attitude and sharp one liner for every situation. For some people, mostly his close friends, his snappy attitude can be quite entertaining at times, especially when he's snapping at other people, but for those on the receiving end they could perceive Brodie as a little annoying. He also has a terrible potty mouth and can't control the fact that every other word that slips out is usual foul, and every sentence usually starts with 'yo' and ends in 'bitch' (Yes, inspired by Aaron Paul's character on Breaking Bad lol).
GOOD Despite his personality flaws, deep down brodie is a good person. He doesn't like to intentionally hurt people, although sometimes that sassy attitude does it for him. Brodie genuinely cares for other people and has a sensitive side which he likes to shield from the world with his curses and snide remarks.
LOYAL Brodie is ferociously loyal. He will stand by his friends and family no matter what. This is the quality that got him sorted into Hufflepuff. If anyone so much as looked at his friends the wrong way, Brodie would be all up in their business. This got him into a lot of fights while he was a student at Hogwarts, and earning him a reputation for a trouble maker, but really, he is just fiercely loyal to the people that he cares about.
LAZY Brodie has never worked hard for anything in life, which explains the broke down home he lives in and the poor pay he makes as a conductor of the knight bus. Brodie never had any career aspirations after he left Hogwarts. His grades were poor anyway. So he just kind of stumbled into the first job that would hire him without any experience, conducting the knight bus.
RECKLESS Brodie Blackwell is a wild party animal. He always has bee and probably always will be. This played a large part in sending his life down a not so successful path. He lives for partying and reckless, and dangerous hobbies, and that usually gets him into some trouble sometimes. He is also a bit of an alcohol, although he of course won't admit to having the serious problem. He just thinks he is living every day to its fullest when actually he's squandering it away.
as draco in a post-rpg
draco stared at the gorgeous raven haired femme that was his wife. she rested her head on his shoulder. all was well, right? she had bought it hadn't she? draco felt so guilty having her beleive him so quickly, but he wasn't guilty enough to come clean about anything he had ever done that he hadn't told her about. something told him that deep down astoria knew the truth. he just had this paranoid feeling that she did, but he knew she wouldn't likely leave him unless she caught him red handed. afterall, having the last name malfoy had a lot of perks. big house, lots of money a strapping young lad for a husband and more security than you could ever imagine. that's what draco was; security for astoria. and although it seemed that way, the important things that truly mattered like love and respect were nonexistant. draco was a liar, a cheater, and a complete mess if you thought about it. he couldn't even remain loyal to his wife and they had only been married for two months now.
draco looked in to astoria's great big eyes beaming up at him while he formulated an answer. anything good? hm... not until now that i've come home to my beautiful wife, he replied with a smirk. draco leaned forward and gently placed a kiss on her lips. he was lieing like no tomorrow now. simply feeding her anything and everything she wanted to hear just so she wouldn't ask too many questions. everything worked like strategy for draco. it was almost as if life were one big game of wizard's chess and he always had to have the advantage or the upper hand. every action he took was guided toward giving him the benefit. it was selfish of him yes, but he was a malfoy after all. they didn't exactly come any differently. since birth luscious and narcissa had molded their son to become nothing less of the alpha male, and draco had spent the rest of his life trying to acheive that.
watching her rub her eyes, draco could imagine that astoria probably lost sleep over his antics. if he were only home sleeping safely beside her, she probably wouldn't have been so insomniatic. but thanks to his galavanting, astoria's situation was quite the contrary. draco constantly needed a scapegoat. something to satisfy all the guilt that filled him up on a daily basis. he needed to satisfy astoria to do that. he need to know he had done something to make up for all the time he wasn't there for her. he leaned forward again, kissing her more passionately and raising a hand to rest on the side of her neck. his force pushed her over slightly so that he was hovering over her. he parted his lips from hers once more. i'm sorry i wasn't around last night, draco finally said, but i love you. he looked down at her, his eyes reflecting honesty though he felt a little differently. it was hard to tell with draco sometimes.
'i love you' was probably the one thing a woman wanted to hear more than anything else, and draco was keen on convincing astoria of just that. that he loved her, and that there was no one else in the world for him. he was known to be unfaithful, but somehow astoria managed to ignore her gut instinct and beleive everything draco told her. it was unfortunate on her part, but what could be done about it? moments like these were the ones that draco savored between them. there was no fighting, no arguing, and he did actually find himself compelled to please her. maybe we could spend the day together today ? draco suggested. we could get dinner, maybe go out somewhere ? he added. of course, without realizing it, draco had caught himself in his own lie. he said earlier that the store had been broken in to and obviously this meant that his work hours would probably only increase. now all of a sudden he had the liberty of spending an entire day with astoria?
draco realized that he caught himself up in a lie, but he showed no expression of that on his face. meanwhile, in his mind he panicked a little. unsure of whether or not astoria had noticed it too. usually this never happened. he usually carefully thought things through, planned them out and made sure whatever was coming out of his mouth made sense. but this one crept up on him like he wouldn't beleive. he smiled down at astoria pretending everything was fine and dandy as usual. he kissed her neck, his hand sliding down the side of her bodice. he had to distract her now before she figured things out or he would have some serious explaining to do. he dreaded another fight, but if he played his cards right it may have been avoidable.
