VAMPIRE ( FRIENDS ) desdemona has friends, but they're few and far between. she's loyal as can be, and is certainly capable of cracking a few dry, sarcastic jokes here and there, but she's generally kind of a stick-in-the-mud. humans are humans, and -- being a 'non-wizard part-human' -- she is firmly of the viewpoint that she and them should have as little contact as possible. it's inevitable for her to meet people, since she can't stand the thought of being completely isolated for another few centuries, but she tries her hardest to not make any lasting relationships. it doesn't help that everyone dies eventually. ( ENEMIES ) well, she's a freaking vampire. it's kind of a given that there are going to be people who really, really don't like her. desdemona does her best to not offend anyone, but if you're coming at her waving your wand it's probably not going to be recieved very well. despite her efforts, however, desdemona still can end up rubbing people the wrong way simply because she generally comes off as hostile and a bit standoffish. (which she kind of is, but it's more for your sake than hers -- what human in their right mind wants to hang around a person who could potentially end up killing you, anyway?) ( LOVERS ) ... lol. welp. as much as I want desdemona to maybe get in a relationship, it's pretty obvious why a. it'd be kind of difficult to love her and b. it'd be kind of difficult for her to love. she did have a sweetheart when she was in school, but that was centuries ago and he pretty much dropped her like a hot pot sticker when she was killed and became undead. it'd be pretty interesting to see how a romantic thing would go, though; as cliche as it is, her vampiric needs would probably kick in if she so much as kissed a guy. mona's generally good with not wanting to feed off of every human she sees, but erp. love could be dangerous. ( OTHERS ) family! when desdemona was alive she was dae smith, back in the time of the salem witch trials. she has two younger twin siblings, ena and kell. obviously they wouldn't still be alive, but perhaps they have descendants? desdemona secretly stalked tracked down her family, and it wouldn't be surprising if she kept tabs on their offspring, and their offspring's offspring, and -- considering how long it's been since she died -- their offspring's offspring's offspring. desdemona keeps her identity hidden from them, clearly, but I think it'd be cool to have her and her family meet.

since they are both stand-offish and capable of saracasm and dry comments, i could see them running into one another in hogsmeade or something, maybe at a bar, and being... sarcastic and mean about the people there and life in general. drinking buddies?. probably not friends, but maybe just casual acquaintances -- small talk at the bar. not sure, but i could see them having a run in!

I'm pretty sure desdemona would probably end up hanging around knockturn more than hogsmeade -- simply because hogsmeade is probably more popular and thus has more crowds -- but I'm sure she'd visit the place occasionally. (although I don't think she likes alcohol very much, lol. her diet is, er, a bit weird.) they might get along a bit in that they'd be a bit anti-social, but desdemona would probably be like 'please go away.' if joanna is persistent enough, she might eventually just accept the woman's presence, and joanna might be able to tell desemona more about hogwarts and whatnot, if she finds out joanna's a teacher. I'm fairly certain that desdemona would be interested in the younger generation of witches and wizards.

yeah, it would be a stretch, but i think if they did end up talking, that's a good way to go! though she'd get a half empty and tainted version of hogwarts from joanna D:. i think the problem in getting these two together is that joanna would also be like 'go away' without the please. xD

haha, desdemona would probably believe everything joanna says about the students -- be it good or bad. but yeah, the biggest problem might be just having them talk in the first place. I'm not quite sure, either; maybe joanna could be in a bit of trouble, and desdemona gives her a hand? (not trouble as in 'oh I dropped all my papers' but maybe some trouble with another person?) I'd offer to have mona as the one in a bind, but I doubt anyone would attack her. unless they were piss-drunk, but
