A lot had happened over the last few weeks. She'd spoken to a boy, the Malfoy boy, who'd told her about the Death Eaters. The little girl, only fourteen, had been confused at the time and now regretted even talking to him. Of course Alice hadn't been able to help it, she was just rather vulnerable lately. Ever since that day she'd been careful, maybe even acting a little less rude towards everyone. Alice really didn't want to get on anyone's bad side, she just wasn't in the mood for that after the whole commotion that had happened. Alice needed to have people she could count on, even if it meant she had to be nice for a bit.
Sitting down at the Ravenclaw table the fourth year stared ahead, ignoring the dinner in front of her. Friday marked the weekend, a Hogsmede trip would be tomorrow afternoon to the late evening. Maybe until even midnight. Alice and Rhys were going on a date and all day she'd had butterflies in her stomach. Since it was fall Alice figured she'd wear some traditional converse sneakers, a fleece and good fitted jeans. Alice knew Rhys usually liked things plain and simple, he also liked Ravenclaw girls but currently had chosen Alice. She hoped it would last for the year hopefully, but he was really good looking and there were girls a lot older than her. She just didn't have the competition as them.
Finally Alice managed to pick up a few potatoes and pieces of fruit, picking at it while trying to ignore the feelings in her stomach. She really wished that someone were able to help her right now, maybe an older student. She'd even let a Hufflepuff give her some tips on how to be a little less nervous so Alice could at least eat her food without feeling as if she'd see it later. Eating a few bites then taking a few deep breaths Alice looked up at the fake sky silhouette. Rain pounded down from the looks, she just hoped it wouldn't ruing her date tomorrow at all. Alice wanted a lot to be perfect for that.
