Still wearing her drab school outfit Alice Cauldwell ran all the way to the Ravenclaw tower, her fingers shaking from excitement as she raced to her dorm room. Tonight she was going to be at the ball, with Rhys Anders, the boy of her dreams. Alice had felt a little silly when she'd asked him but it'd been a good result for her, Alice was happy instead of being sharp toned and snappy to everyone she'd had a slight skip in her step. She felt like a giddy first year on their first day of classes. Alice remembered the feeling, she'd dreaded having to get up early but otherwise everything else had been alright. Was Rhys excited? Or was he just as nervous as Alice was? Skipping straight into her dorm room she glanced at the dress all laid out on her bed. A dark blue dress with lace pattern overlaid on it, then flats that she'd received in the summer as a going to school present with the black bow on the toe tip that she loved. Her make up was already set on the table and one of the older girls skipped in, checking to see if anyone needed help and immediately looking at Alice who only had the first button of her shirt undone. Immediately she was pulled and prodded at, feeling like a bride being done up for a wedding and not something that was like a dance. A ball. Her mask lay on the vanity table beside her bed, it's simple design had made Alice fall in love with the idea all over again. Something inside her felt magical, like something special was going to happen tonight. Of course, she was going with Rhys. How could something not feel special? It was her first date. Holding the light blue dress frills up for a moment and twirling then she felt like a princess as she grabbed the mask carefully and headed down the staircases, descending to the ball area. From where she stood at the doors before her she could hear loud talking, probably all the voices combined and then a little glitter lay on the floor. It was truly magical so far, and even more as she opened the doors and her jaw fell open. Alice had never been somewhere as beautiful as here and it was truly majestic. Alice sauntered in, the light clicking noise of her flats echoed as she quickly tied the mask to the back of her curls. Her hair had been pulled up in an odd design, the hair was a bow with curls coming down from it. Her eyes surveyed the area, looking for the familiar hair. She saw it, there was Rhys. Skipping over happily she covered his eyes with her hand while standing behind him. "Guess who!" Alice asked in her sing-song toned voice then giggled a bit. He looked fine tonight. tag: rhys/lecch word count: 519 outfit: www.polyvore.com/alice_masquerade_ball/set?id=59023848#fans notes: hope you like. |
