I hope you don't mind me calling you Abbie. It has been a long time since we actually spoke that I have no idea what you prefer these days. I apologize for the lateness of my owl, I couldn't sleep and thought I would write you since I promised I would.

Thank you for accepting my invitation. I am looking forward to our date, if you don't mind me calling it that. What else could I call it though? It is the first dance I have been to since, well you know. I already ordered my robes and mask.

Well, I could give you some suggestions about the mask, but I thought the point of trying to find each other is being surprised. Sort of like, if we do find each other we know it was meant to be. If I know anything about your mask it spoils the fun. Right? I am not even going to give you a hint about my outfit. Not one single idea, nothing at all. It's a secret. I hope you like it though.

I honestly had no idea if you'd go with me. I mean we haven't exactly been close lately, but you've always been in my thoughts.

Tricks is it? I will have to look out for you. You're one of them crafty Ravenclaws aren't you? I knew it, I am going to have to be on my toes with you. I am up for the game though. Might even pull out a trick or two of my own!

My life. Well, there is not much to say really. I have sort of been floating around like always. I don't do much these days, no social life. Keep to myself mostly. Most people either don't like me or don't trust me. Guess I haven't been the nicest of persons lately. Who can blame anyone for not wanting to be around me. I am not going to sit and feel sorry for myself through. No reason to worry about what others think.

You are the only one I worry about thinking differently of me. Actually that is the reason I haven't come around you much lately. I've seen ya around, but mostly avoided you in case you didn't like me these days too. You never know about those sort of things do you?

How about you? Anything going on there?

As for me, I've just been living the typical boring life- Studies, reading, quidditch, spending time with a few close friends but avoiding crowds. Mostly studying though, i'm not the social butterfly type. I did get in a duel with Bellatrix Black the other day- I don't envy you for having to be in the same house as her. [/font]

It was Adrienne actually. We sort of do that sometime. She thinks she is all evil and what-not and I have to put her in her place. Dumbledore gave us detention together actually. Should be a lovely night out in the Forbidden Forest. Which reminds me, if it is so damn forbidden why do I find myself wandering around in the dark tomorrow night during a full moon with nothing but my wits and Adrienne as protection? Sorry, when I think of her I tend to rant more than normal. She is a thorn, that is for sure. No Rose there, just plain thorn.

Can we not discuss her, or my house for that matter? Everyone just wanders around all evil and brooding, and I thought that was my job. At least I have a reason. That's all I can say.

You know, all your little drawings and smiling faces are sort of cute. Makes your letters special. All I have is this flat handwriting that looks sort of blocked off. Oh well.

Ugh. I would rather discuss the slime within my own house than to talk about that Black boy! Yeah, they are all so popular, and get away with so much rubbish, but I don't see all the hubbub about any of them. I would rather stir clear of Sirius, and his gang of goons. In my opinion their worse than anything Slytherin has ever produced, well maybe with the exception of Adrienne. But, that is a real close count if you ask me.

Let's not sour our conversation. I am going to say that regardless who might be King and Queen, you will always be a Queen to me. And I will honor you as one for as long as you let me.

Oh, I'm sorry, I just seem to say all the wrong things :/ While I'm on a roll though, I don't think theyre too bad, but I don't know them that well. I hate the way the bully people, but James saved my neck in a duel with Bellatrix Black so I can't talk too bad. Sirius seems a bit more unlikable- especially with the contempt he shows girls- except i can't help but feel bad for the miserable state he's been in lately, I wonder what happened. But lets put them aside, like you said, no reason to sour the conversation.
