Haha, Ravneclaw or sensitive Hufflepuff? I don't know whether to be insulted or not, but since you've so graciously offered your company I'll let it slide (: Ravenclaw by the way. And I'll admit I've been brooding all day, and now I've scared away all company. You see, I've been thinking about my mother and that always puts me in a somber mood- makes me no fun to be around, and people usually leave me to my thoughts on the occasion i get this way.-.. She was murdered.

Why have you been thinking about her, then, if you know brooding makes you unbearable? Or did you want an excuse to avoid people for the day? I can’t imagine that was your goal if you’ve been sending out random owls.

Can’t help but ask – who killed her?

I can't quite help it, when someone that important gets torn away you can't just forget about it, you know? Maybe you don't, you don't sound as if you've experienced tragedy, and i envy you for that. And they were a pair of dark wizards,( she was an Auror) and don't ask me for their names, to this day i still don't know.

Can’t say I have ‘experienced tragedy’– charmed life, spare the rod and spoil the child, that sort of thing. If you wanted someone to commiserate with, you should have given your owl more specific orders.

Maybe it’s not something you forget, but I doubt it’s something you reflect on every day. Did something in particular prompt this little brooding session?

‘Murdered by dark wizards’ is at least more interesting than, say, drowning. Was she working when it happened?

Well I had a dream about the night we got the news, or a nightmare so to speak, I've been having them rather often lately. And i do reflect about daily, but not in this brooding way more of just a thought of her now and then like "I got top marks, mom would be proud" sorta thing.

And Interesting huh? I suppose you could say that. She was working, but it was just a routine thing and they ambushed her and her partner. Never saw it coming; she wounded one but was taken out by the killing curse by the other. Her partner survived though, thanks to mom wounding the first attacker, told us what happened but couldn't identify the killers, said they were cloaked.

Why lately – closer to the anniversary, or something? Might I suggest a Calming Draught before bed?

“Said they were cloaked”? I was under the impression that aurors were highly trained at hunting down dark wizards – or at least, weren’t rendered totally inept by the suspects wearing cloaks. I’d say a quarter of the wizards I know wear cloaks in public.

It’s never struck you as strange that the two of them were ambushed on a routine patrol and she got the killing curse while her partner escaped unscathed? I mean, it’s only six syllables – if you’re going to off one of them, might as well take out the other witness, wouldn’t you think? Unless some of your gold is in their pocket.

Then again, you are a Ravenclaw – I’m sure you’ve considered the possibility.

Good idea, I'm no good at potions though, i'll have to get someone to make me one haha.

And they generally are, her partner was in training, and a bit of a ditz at that- actually quit after the incident-, i actually knew her, but that doesn't mean I didn't consider the possibility. My father demanded an investigation, and they complied, but didn't get enough evidence to act on it. I don't know, its hard to tell if she was just lucky and in a panic or working at an angle. I've been keeping an eye out for anything on her in the Prophet, but thats about all i can do at this point.[/color][/size]
