The Room of Requirement was almost always empty, and today it was too. She had just finished her last class for the day and had maybe an hour before dinner, Olivia liked to wait until dinner would be served and come later when they reserved everything. A few kids knew what she meant but Olivia hadn't told anyone. She was good at keeping secrets, even if they seemed like the most minor thing at the time. For now she would just stay here and listen to the echoes in the hallway. Walking up to the wall she pressed her ear to the wall, her hands balancing herself as well. It was later in the evening so the chatter could sometimes be scarce because a lot of kids might be tired. There were always the distinct voices of first years, high and light in the air. Olivia smiled as she remembered her first year. Meeting Corny and Rhys on the train. Today Corny stood by her as a best friend and she missed Rhys, he was distant now. Olivia still kept her eyes open for any signs of Rhys being rude to Corny. She wished that she'd step in, she'd love to actually, but it seemed impossible for her without hurting one of them emotionally. Not like Rhys would care even, he was a Slytherin. He didn't give a damn what she did. Things were different now, that was for sure. It seemed like a war was preparing to be raged. Of course there was the good side but then also the Death Eaters. Olivia had heard only rumors about them, their ways seemed cruel. Murdering muggleborns and nearly killing anyone who refused to join them. Maybe that was another thing that made Olivia mad at Rhys. He was a Slytherin, he would probably be a Death Eater someday too. It actually scared her to think of him like that. He was a muggleborn and Olivia kept that secret but she also knew that he would kill his own kind to make the leaders proud. Would he kill Olivia? No, maybe not but she would need to keep her eyes open even more nowadays. She would love to just forget about everything around her, and sometimes she did, but it was hard because it had just been brewing more than ever right now. Pulling out her book and sliding to the bottom of the wall Olivia tried to keep her head straight, contemplating whether or not to actually read or just think more. She had to think about the upcoming qudditch matches, she was the new Qudditch Captain of Hufflepuff and a beater. Beater was a good role to play in the game, it gave Olivia good strength because she had gotten beat up a few times. Being hit in the gut with a bludger would hurt for weeks, if not a month. Olivia had been hit there a few times and ended up in the hospital wing when Corny would force her too. He really did care about her and it made Olivia happy to know that, she felt special around him for some reason. TAGGED?! Anyone OUTFIT?! Hufflepuff Uniform WORD COUNT?! 527 NOTES?! It seems like classes were the only thing going on in Anna's life. Well that and being bullied by the Slytherins. Since asking them nicely to stop wasn't working, she was now avoiding them at all costs, which was tough when she ended up having class with them. But if she left the class quick enough and made her way quickly to the common room or her next class she was able to out run them all together. Whoever built Hogwarts, she had a bone to pick with them. Why would they put both Slytherins and Hufflepuffs down in the dungeons? They were totally opposites for houses and Slytherins always took advantage of their good nature. Maybe someone wanted the Hufflepuffs to have a backbone down the line, but come on, they were Hufflepuffs for a reason.
The key to getting out of class early was sitting towards the back and near the door. Anna usually sat upfront so she was forced to pay attention but now in the back it was easier to pass notes and get distracted by other students. Plus when it came to classes with Slytherins she kept an eye on the ones closer to her to see if they even bothered to watch her. Most of the times no, but there were those few Slytherins who seemed to live on bullying her. Today, it was one of those classes and as soon as the Professor dismissed them, Anna was out of her seat and walking/running the other way. She could hear a group of footsteps behind her and all her nerves told her not to look back but she did. Coming up from behind her was a group of Slytherin girls, the ones who made her cry the other day. This was just her lucky day, wasn't it?
Anna seemed to stay away from them for a time but then it seemed like they got bored of the chase and gave up. Maybe running away from them was a good thing. She slowed her to see where she was and saw that the Slytherin girls chased her up the Hogwarts step instead of down and was somewhere on the seventh floor. Actually it looked to be like where the Room of Requirement was. Just as she stopped to have a look, the Slytherin girls were coming around the corner. Quickly, Anna wished for some place safe. The door appeared and in she went not caring what the room actually looked like. But for now she was safe and away from anyone that could harm her.
Walking in a bit more, she took a look around and quickly spotted a friend. Someone that she trusted almost as much as she trusted Ian. "Olivia!" Anna said smiling and walking over to her. Of course her good friend's nose was in a book but that didn't bother her. She tended to be friends with the smart crowd. "How are you? This place just saved me from a hoard of Slytherin girls." Anna admitted sitting down next to her friend.

Olivia remembered her first day at Hogwarts and riding the train. She'd been so nervous and trains had made her feel really bad, her stomach had been hurting from the nervousness and also the fact that trains just made her feel weird inside. She remembered first crossing the platform barriers, her parents almost crying at the fact that their little girl would soon be a student at a very prestigious wizarding school, that was their view upon Hogwarts anyways. Olivia had hugged them both and then left, following the lead of an older student and just doing what they'd done. The train wasn't too bad once they got going, she enjoyed being able to walk around towards the different compartments. Finally the girl had somehow found an empty one, in the corner a boy who was an inch or so taller than her and had his focus on the window. When she asked to sit there he shrugged, not saying a word and so, by instinct, Olivia started talking until another boy came and joined them, his name was Rhys Anders and he was the same age as Olivia. The three had bonded quickly over their blood types and food, lots of food. Although it was disappointing and a bit surprising when Rhys was sorted into Slytherin and Corny and herself into Hufflepuff. Olivia still talked to Rhys every now and then but it wasn't the same, he seemed so different.
She had met Anna then on their second day of the second year. The girl was just as bubbly and bright as Olivia, the two becoming fast friends with their unique personalities. Not to add the fact that they both talked about a lot of things together. She had trusted Anna right away, knowing that she was trustworthy and she could rely on the girl to help her. Anna was always willing to help her out and was usually waiting for her in the common room after a rainy qudditch practice in the mornings. Olivia always went by herself, she was used to being independent more so now, she was older and needed to carry the responsibilities of a fifth year, she was used to not being able to have these privileges. Her favorite thing ever had always been the trips to Hogsmede.
"Hey!" She replied, not looking up from her book as she heard the door slide open and shut quickly, it was her friend Anna who had just walked in. She seemed a bit out a breath but smiling as usual. Olivia looked up, putting her bookmark in the book because she wanted to see how Anna was really.
Olivia remembered that she had once been jealous of Anna for her looks. She was taller than Olivia, as most people were, and had more of a mature body than Olivia did. Olivia grew to like herself but she wished she were just as pretty as Anna or some of the other girls who were easily called flawless.
"Slytherin girls again? I hate them..." Olivia mused to herself while smiling just a little bit. Her eyes watched Anna next to her and she smiled at her. "Reading as usual...thinking about someone," she told Anna while hinting at something. Anna knew that Olivia loved Corny, she loved him a lot. What Anna didn't know was that she had love letters from someone, she just needed to tell her and maybe Anna could help her.
