ALICE JANE CAULDWELL
The first thing many people would notice about Alice is the fact that she's not British, she's got an American accent. Her dad is Britsh and moved to New York for school where he met her mom. They lived in New York until Alice was born in which they then moved to Brooklyn, just out of the city and a Bourough of it. She lived in New York for many years, until she was nine and her dad received another job offer back in London.
In London Alice adjusted well, learning about the countrys accent itself and seeing a lot. They lived in a very bustling part of the city where Alice would sit on her window bench and watch the cars below. It was doing that one day when an owl pecked at the window in her bedroom, startling the little girl as she pounced to her feet, thinking it was a kidnapper. The owl had somehow managed to tuck the letter into the window sill and she opened it up, reading it throughly. At first Alice thought it was a joke, until she heard commotion downstairs and her parents talking. Alice ran downstairs to find an older man in a long robe, he looked like something out of...wizard tale. She wasn't sure what to think as he explained the letter in depth to her and her parents, telling them everything. It was overwhelming for sure but Alice understood. There was just one problem, the fact she would have to leave home to attend the school.
Her whole life she'd been very sheltered by her parents, she was their only child and they made sure to keep her safe in anyway they could. So the thought of something like a boarding school frightened the girl you could imagine. Somehow she mustered up the courage and together the family was off to Diagon Alley and retrieved all her things.
The train ride has always been the most exciting thing for Alice. It's new and the scenery always amazes her. Even more amazing were some of the kids she met. There were children older than her and the same age who had been raised like this, that was amazing. Or kids who were halfblooded, meaning the only had one wizarding relative. The whole train ride Alice met one other muggleborn kid who was actually rather rude. She wasn't sure what house he was in since he was a year older but she thought Slytherin. Some kids had told her the houses and their descriptions. She liked the sound of Ravenclaw but whatever suited her was fine, she was just happy to be here.
Over the years the girl still remembers that boy who she spoke to a few times. She still keeps in touch with him and he's very dear to her heart, she just wonders what she matters to him. She's kind hearted to him and other people too but he's the one who owns her heart and if he asked for it then she'd give it to him in a heartbeat. Someday she'll find out but it'll take a while.
Alice can be sort of difficult. She'll be nice one moment and complicated the other. Some older students always watch out for her since she's sort of the baby in her little group. She's very kind to those closest to her but would change that in a heartbeat. It doesn't bother her to be rude to those who will hurt the ones she cares for actually, a few fights don't hurt anyone and definitely won't bother her.
