KAYLA ALISON BENSON
Kayla Allison Benson was born Kayla Alison Dedulas on May twenty-first to the parents of Alison and Issaith Dedulas. She was born two years after her older brother Christopher. Kayla and Chris were always close. Chris looked after her. Kayla was a complete daddy’s girl growing up. Every night her father would read to her. Sometimes she would read to him. At the age of five Alison started teaching her how to fly. Chris helped her since he started two years before. Kayla loved flying and quidditch. Her mother was a professional quidditch player for the holyhead harpies. Kayla thought that was so cool.
When Kayla was seven her father and mother were going out to dinner when they were attacked. Chris was watching her that night. Death Eaters came that night, more like found them after walking around looking for some fun, and after making her father watch them rape her mother they killed her father. Allison was broken after that. Chris took care of Kayla during this time like any older brother would. Kayla watched as her mother lay in bed holding herself crying. Kayla wanted to do something for her mother, to help her mother feel better. She didn’t know what to do though. She hated that she couldn’t help her mother. Finally after Kayla’s eighth birthday her mother pulled herself together to take care of them. A year after that Christopher went to Hogwarts and was sorted into Gryffindor like his father before him.
Two years later Kayla went to Hogwarts. Kayla was very nervous about being sorted into her house. Kayla was sorted into Hufflepuff. Kayla was always so shy and has trust issues since her parents were attacked and her father was killed. She kept to herself at Hogwarts only talking to Christopher. She was picked on and her brother stood up for her. In her second year Kayla made the quidditch team. She was very happy as was her mother and brother. She enjoyed quidditch very much.
In her fourth year she dated a guy name Ankle Skylar. He had broke up with her because her brother had threaten him only because Ankel was in slytherin. Soon after one of her friends name Zac, who was in Gryffindor and a year above her, took an interest in her. She threw him a birthday party and they shared a kiss that night. After a few months her friend Tori had an accident by falling down the stairs. Zac was fighting with Ankel about Tori as Ankel and Tori were dating and Tori tried to get in between them and ended up falling down the stairs. Tori and Ankel broke up and Zac and Kayla broke up as Zac felt he loved Tori instead of Kayla. Kayla was crushed and crying about it when Ankel had found her. They ended up getting back together. Kayla was happy again until two of her friends caused her boyfriend to end up dead. Zac and Jake decided to teach Ankel a lesson which resulted in his death. They told the headmistress that it was an accident but told Tori, Kayla, and Abbigail, Jakes girlfriend, the truth. They didn’t know that Kayla and Ankel had gotten back together so they were curious as to why Kayla was so upset. She distance herself from them after this. In her fifth year she was a prefect and was quidditch captain of the Hufflepuff team. She did very well on her O.W.Ls. She was still a prefect and the quidditch captain of hufflepuff team throughout her sixth and her seventh year. She did well on her N.E.W.Ts.
After Hogwarts Kayla went off to America for a little while, and met William Ethan Benson. They fell in love with each other when they first met. She was head over heels for him and after a year of dating they were engaged. She was eighteen and he was twenty when they were engaged and then six months later they were married. After her nineteenth birthday she gave birth to twins. A boy and a girl, Ethan Issaith Benson and Codie Marie Benson. Ethan was born before Codie. Two years later Kayla finally told him that she was a witch. He didn’t run away from her and she was so happy. He told her he loved her no matter what.
They moved to England because of Williams job and Kayla joined the Holyhead Harpies as a chaser like her mother did before her. For years she played on the team and they all lived happily. Her children went to a private muggle school and they enjoyed it. When the twins were seven though Kayla and William had a fight on who would take the kids to school that day. Kayla couldn’t cause she had an emergency practice and William was saying he didn’t have time to take them either. William knew that Kayla couldn’t drive when she was upset so he finally said he would take them. During the ride to school he turned around quickly to tell them to stop fighting over a toy and that was when it happened. A drunk driver ran a red light and William didn’t turn around in time to see him and move the car out of the way. William died instantly while Ethan and Codie survived.
Kayla was broken after that. Her brother came to live with her and took care of the kids while she stayed in her room day after day crying. Christopher had been worried about her and finally two years later she recovered. She started taking care of them again. She felt bad because she didn’t take care of them and apologized over and over for how she was. She never went back to playing quidditch. They had enough money to take care of them for another year or so. Though a year later she needed to start work, and so she got a job as the Muggle Studies professor at Hogwarts and is the Head of Hufflepuff house at Hogwarts. Her children are in their first year of Hogwarts.
Kayla Alison Benson is a complex person. She has overcome many emotional obstacles in her life. First it was her mother’s rape attack and her father’s death. Kayla was devastated when her father died. She was always a daddy’s girl. She didn’t take his death as hard as her mother but Kayla swore she would never be like how her mother was after her father’s death. She loved her family no matter what happens and she was glad that her brother Christopher was always there for her. He was always overprotective of her and she was glad he always watched her.
Growing up she was always loyal to her family and friends. She was smart and studious. She loved and still loves to learn new things. She is highly compassionate and will do anything for someone she cares about, which is mostly everyone. The only ones she doesn’t really care is people who think they are better than others because of who they and their family are, and they think it is okay to take advantage of people. She always wants to give people the benefit of the doubt on how they act. She wants to give people a chance to change and make their attitude better.
When her husband died she did the same thing that her mother did. For two years Kayla was an empty shell who stayed in her room broken, and hunched over. She stayed there crying and thankfully her brother came watched over her and took care of her kids. When she finally got over it she still wasn’t okay but she was working on it. Like her mother it took her a while to get her priorities in order after being emotional shot. To this day she still misses William but she knows her children need her. She focused on them and their needs which got her through the rest of her grief. Now she is emotionally ready to start dating again. She has focused on her new job and watching over her children at Hogwarts. She doesn’t want to scare them every again or go back to that emotional wreck state that she was in.
Easter break had been okay on Baylee. She studied and did some over the holiday homework. She was constantly reading or doing school work. It kept her mind off things so it was good for her. Baylee was used to working late into the night anyway so that helped with keeping her thoughts clear though she couldn’t help where they went when she laid down to go to sleep. This night was no different. She had decided to go to bed early and lay down to go to sleep. She yawned as she closed her eyes. Her thoughts started drifting about everything. She tried not to think about them and now they just bombarded her mind.
She forgave her father but it wasn’t easy. She still had a hard time trusting him a little but she was glad he was back in the house. She missed him. She knew Vito would probably never forgive him but she couldn’t control her feelings just like he couldn’t control his. Vito was upset with her for not only that but for taking so long to talk to Kelsey after they all found out that Kelsey was their half-sibling. She was just so angry at Robert and Kelsey that she didn’t know what to do or say and she had needed some time to think things through. She couldn’t just blurt out her thoughts.
She soon fell asleep though her thoughts becoming dreams. Soon though in her dream she saw a fire and heard her mother and brother yelling. She woke up to find herself in her room; she coughed as something was choking her. She soon realized it was smoke. Smoke? Soon she realized that the house was on fire. Panic flooded her as she coughed some more getting up out of bed. She looked around as the smoke filled her lungs. She could still hear her mother and brother yelling. Why wasn’t her father yelling though?
She stumbled out of her room and saw her mother through the smoke as Vito grabbed her arm and ran downstairs. She kept trying to pull away from him to go back to her mother. She couldn’t see her mother anymore and that worried her. Soon Vito told her to wait for Kelsey and then get out. She shook her head. She didn’t want Vito going back alone but alone he did go. She frowned and ran back up the stairs knowing Kelsey wouldn’t leave without him. She soon found both of them and grabbed Vito’s arm. We have to find our mother Vito she said looking worried. She wanted to know her mother was safe.
