IAN ROSS GALLOWAY
ian was born to a loving family of four. his father, isaac, was a very stern, muggle born man with a good heart. his mother, marguerite, was a homemaker and witch who loved her children and kept the peace. samuel, ian’s oldest sibling by two years, always liked to pick on his little brother in a way siblings did. ian didn’t always like it, but he knew it was how his brother showed his love and how much he was proud. christina was his elder sister by one year who also picked on her little brother a little but she had her kind moments with him. being the last galloway child to attend hogwarts came with many pre-set labels from teachers. however, ian proved himself to them, being the intelligent and charismatic guy he was. one of his best friend at school from maybe his first or second year is anna holme, an adorable girl on whom ian doesn’t know he has been crushing hard for years.
ian is a very curious guy; he likes to learn new things and prides himself on his vast knowledge of things, often pointing things out to others or instructing them on things. he’s a bit of a bookworm and he’s a total sweetheart. ian likes to help his friends out of trouble even when he gets dragged into the problem. he's a problem solver and is hardly without any ideas on what to do in a sticky situation. he likes to do crazy things at times, like an adventure; he’s a bit of a thrill seeker that way. ian is very caring. he’s loyal, funny, creative and protective. he’s a charming, charismatic and optimistic with a simple outlook on things. ian wears glasses when he reads because otherwise he gets headaches.
Jane wouldn't say that she was scared. She wouldn't let herself give in to any doubt. Now that she actually remembered it all up until the point she actually caught the Snitch, Jane wasn't going to let herself lose sight of anything. She had become too focused on the Snitch during the last match and it had certainly cost her. Thinking about it, now, as she pulled on her robes, she ran her hand down her side, remembering the pain of the Bludger's impact. Not to mention her less than smooth recovery in the Hospital Wing. It had only been a week of recovery but it had still felt like an eternity, it might have been and felt like twice that had it not been for Cooper constantly being at her side. Jane was really lucky to have him, she truly was.
Today was Cooper's last Quidditch match and although a part of Jane felt like gloating that she got to take his place as Captain the next year, she was sad about it. Cooper was graduating and she had a whole other year to do, without him. She didn't know what she would do with herself without seeing him every day. Even before they had dated, they used to have competitions about anything and everything, especially in Quidditch. Like when they went head to head for the Captain position. Jane wanted that title, but really did think that Coop deserved it more than she did and sure enough, he had made a formidable Captain this year. A tough one, but great all the same. Quidditch just wouldn't be the same without him.
Jane picked up her broom, closed her locker and huddled with the team for their pre-game pep talk. Cooper was lucky to be at this match, just like he had been for the last. However, unlike the last time when it had just been a risk of grounding, this time he had been in the Hospital Wing. Jane never wanted to have to be anywhere near that Wing again, having been there a little more than three times already over the year. This time, Coop actually gave them a good pep talk like he usually did. Jane smirked to herself as he spoke, she wasn't going to pull any over the top moves like she had last time, even though she had nailed it perfectly. This was the most important game all year and it wasn't time for her to be a show off. It was all or nothing and Jane was ready.
When he finished his speech, adding that he had stocked up for a party, Jane laughed a bit as she made her way to him. She knew that this match wouldn't be easy but they were ready for it; they trained even harder after their last win (post her recovery) and it had been difficult but they wouldn't have stopped had they not been 100% ready for this match. "That alcohol isn't going to go to waste, hey guys?" Jane called to the team with a smile as she reached Cooper. Turning to him, she gave his arm a rub. "You ready for this, Captain?" She asked him, adding the title at the end. It wasn't often that Jane called him that, mostly because she didn't want to let his ego run away with it. "Come here." She beckoned him with her finger, giving a small smirk and a laugh before she kissed him. It was fun to do this around the team again, she laughed on the inside, really. And she didn't just do it because she told him she would when she was in the Hospital Wing. Obviously not. She loved Cooper and she loved kissing him, so why not. "I'm going to remember this one, this time." She joked when she pulled away.
The team walked out onto the field, the roar of the crowd erupting at the sight of them and the other team walking out. The rush Jane felt in that very moment during every game was incredible. The was very little that could top that feeling. she couldn't help but smile as she looked around the Pitch, absorbing it all. It was the last match of the year and then it was a break for the summer. When they announced that Lorcan would not be commentating on the match, Jane worried a little, looking over at Lysander. He seemed as confused and worried as she did. This wasn't right. "Don't let it worry you too much, Lys. Knowing Lorcan, it's nothing too serious. He wouldn't want it to distract you from the game." Having him be distracted in any bit wasn't an option.
