ADRIENNE QUINN HART
adrienne quinn hart was born into a wealthy family of york. her father, harrison hart (formerly in slytherin), is a well known and prestigious member of the magical enforcement squad at the ministry of magic. her mother, quinn hart (a former ravenclaw) is a muggle-born witch who works as a healer at st. mungo's hospital. adrienne also has two older brothers. aiden hart, the eldest, a former slytherin, is in auror training. the middle child, alfie hart, also a former slytherin, has run away to join tom riddle's followers. he is only twenty, and has such great talent as a wizard like his older brother, but has dabbled in dark magic and become a certified death eater. adrienne's parents considered alfie a disgrace to the family. they do not support the death eaters despite the family's long legacy in slytherin, and some questionable company they keep.
harrison and quinn met at hogwarts of course. harrison is a pure blood, but one of the few slytherin who weren't particularly concerned for blood status. harrison was an average student, recieved standard grades, but was a very talented quidditch player. quinn on the other hand was particularly talented in her studies, reaching above average levels on her OWLs and NEWTs. quinn was a ravenclaw prefect for fifth and sixth years, and head girl in seventh year. she is also a muggle born witch. it was certainly a meeting of opposites attract. when they were married after graduating, neither of their parents supported their marriage. they faced a lot of opposition to their relationship, but lasted anyway and had three children. aiden, the eldest, was much like his mother. very talented in school, a bit of a nerd really. alfie, born two years after aiden was not quite like either of his parents. he was very clever, but his intelligence seemed rather misplaced. he was a very talented wizard, but only when it came to things that were interesting to him and therefore simply couldn't focus in the classroom. alfie was only interested in learning things that would benefit himself at the very moment, so much of his learning he did alone in his room while neglecting the homework he actually needed to do. alfie did however, inherit his father unmistakable talent for quidditch. he played as a beater like his father and was a particularly aggressive one. three years after the birth alfie came adrienne.
adrienne is very close with both her brothers. as an auror, aiden had to cut off all contact with his brother when they found out he had joined the death eaters. aiden couldn't compromise his future as an auror for being associated with alfie. for adrienne however, who is still in hogwarts, still writes to alfie. she is the only one in the family who doesn't judge him for joining the death eaters. she really doesn't see the importance of being a pure blood, but the amount of power within the small circle of death eaters is a very attractive quality to the path her brother has chosen.
growing up both of adrienne's brother have been protective of her, especially at hogwarts, but adrienne has proven she is perfectly capable of taking care of herself. now that aiden and alfie have both taken very different paths in life, they have each been battling for her loyalty in a way. aiden (and their parents) wants her to keep minimal contact with alfie. aiden knows all too well that adrienne is a very talented witch, but she is also fixated with power, and she may be tempted to sway towards a path like alfie's.
adrienne hart is a tour de force to be reckoned with. she is very ambitious and has a bit of an obsession with being powerful and superior to those around her. she tries to apply this attitude to her schooling but only maintains adequate or slightly above adequate grades. instead of school, adrienne finds it easier to channel this ambition through her natural quidditch talent. like her father and brother, adrienne is a natural quidditch player. though both her father and alfie played beater, adrienne is a chaser. quidditch is often times more important to adrienne than her school work. adrienne also comes from a rather privileged family. both of her parents hold well paid and upstanding jobs so adrienne has never been deprived of most luxuries in life. she's never "had it tough" but at the same time she is not an overly spoiled brat. she is a brat all on her own without needing to be spoiled with material things to act that way.
adrienne has a rather obnoxious personality. to some she's a firecracker of energy, but to others she just a cruel nuisance. there are more than a few students in the school who might describe her as pure evil. she is often times inappropriate, and not afraid to say the first thing that comes to her mind. she doesn't have a filter, anything goes, which often is a huge disadvantage for her and gets her into more trouble than necessary. she has spent many of her nights in detention. adrienne enjoys picking on the younger years in school just because she feels that they are below her in every conceivable way.
she is very much like her father however in a dangerous way. she is very cunning and doesn't believe breaking the rules is morally wrong unless you're caught. she also resembles her brother alfie in this way. she can be very sneaky and malicious, willing to step on other people just to get where she's going. adrienne is the living embodiment of a raging slytherin, but she is also different in one very noticeable way. adrienne doesn't care for blood status. she doesn't believe that your blood type makes you better than someone else. she rather value magical skill, intellect, cunning, and physical talent. she does not discriminate whatsoever on blood status. perhaps it is because she herself is a half blood, but regardless its not important to her. a quality directly resembling her father.
adrienne does not necessarily act on a whim, but her extremely violent actions can often times be seen as border-line crazy. the friends that she has at hogwarts are either her friend out of fear, or share the same kind of sadistic pleasures that she does. being raised with two older brothers had also made her physically tough. if her wand is beyond her reach she is not afraid to use her fists. at the price of being such a forceful individual, adrienne is at a deep loss of things like grace, poise, and elegance. she doesn't have much capacity for any of these things. she looks like a porcelain doll, but she is more like hungarian horntail.
A low ringing sound was all that brody harrison had heard when he woke up. in fact, it was that very ring that woke him up in the first place. heavy eye lids opened to reveal stunning blue green eyes that brody had inherited from his mother. as soon as they had opened he realized they were gazing upon a cieling. not the cieling of his bedroom though, rather it was a cieling that he did not recognize. he squinted for a moment, then sat up and raised both his hands to rub his eyes. he was trapped in that place between asleep and awake, but he fought it off so that he could determine where he was. he looked in front of him to find that he had been sleeping on the floor when there was a bed right next to him. he must have fallen off the bed because it seemed as though the sheets had been dragged with him to the floor. he realized then that he wasn't clothed save for the pair of black boxers covering his most precious assets. he looked over at the night table beside the bed and recognized his own cell phone. obviously concluding that that was where the ringing was coming from. unfortunately he had taken so long to wake up though, that his phone had stopped ringing and he had missed the call. that hadn't been important at the moment however. brody was more concerned with figuring out where he was, how he got to be there, and where his clothes were.
Brody stood up to his full height. a towering six feet and two inches. he looked around and his memory started to put the peices together. he was in a bedroom of one of the penthouse suites of a building he was familiar with. there had been a huge party there last night. and yet again, brody had gotten too carried away with the alcohol because he barely remembered the girl he now noticed that was sleeping in the bed he had evidently fallen out of. she was a slender young woman with feathery blonde hair and she was fast asleep. brody had become too familiar with situations like these to know that now was his time to beat it. he stared around the room.. his pants were not too far away on the floor so he scrambled to get those on noiselessly before going back to stuff his cell phone in his back pocket. next he found his black tee shirt on top of a lamp shade. lastly, his shoes had been kicked off near the door of the bedroom. he attempted to get on his sneakers soundlessly too but after he had bent over to put them on he raised his head right in to a small table by the door. swearing under his breath, brody rubbed the back of his head as he stumbled to regain his balance. the young femme still sleeping began to stir, so brody slid out the door and closed it gently, trying not to make a sound.
The main penthouse area was full of bodies. if brody hadn't known better it would have seemed as though a sleeping spell had been cast upon the entire room. most of the party goers from last night had found their way home, but there were clearly several who had just crashed at the penthouse itself. the only person awake other than brody was a friend of his who's penthouse it was, and who had been hosting the party in the first place. he was up by the mini-bar making drinks. brody partied pretty hard, but some people just didn't know when to quit. drinks at —brody looked down at his watch— eight o' clock the next morning? that was just madness. brody my man! he said, noticing that brody had now entered the room. care to join me? he asked raising a glass. brody just shook his head and laughed to himself. he found his jacket by the exit and grabbed it before leaving the massive penthouse. it was a long journey down the elevator and out of the building. brody rubbed his eyes yet again before stepping in to the blinding sunlight. he was certainly not a big fan of days like these. due to his strange glacial powers, his body temperature was always lower than was normal, and he preferred chilly days to warm ones. which was why he could get away with wearing a jacket in such beautiful weather. he was just always colder.
Walking along the side walk streets of new york, brody ran a hand through his blonde hair, realizing how disheveled it probably looked. he shrugged nonchalantly to himself. he never put too much thought in to his appearance anyways. brody turned down an alley to get back to his own apartment. he had only lived in new york about two or so years now, but he had come to learn how to get around well. anyone else would have probably discouraged from the side streets because they were always sketchy. but brody had a certain arrogance about him. and to be honest, he had reason to be. there weren't too many people that expected to be frozen upon trying to attack him. but brody was a pretty tall and broad lad anyway so no one really messed with him to begin with. as he continued through the side streets, brody was unexpectedly startled by a loud noise. LET GO! the voice said. it was definately the voice of a woman. usually brody minded his own business and ignored helping out other people. it was selfish of him. but he was no hero, and he never considered himself to be. but as brody got closer, he noticed the look on the young girl's face. she was so small and defenseless. for the first time it sent a rush of guilt through him. he knew he could help... he had to now.
He approached the pair, and clearly the guy was no friend of hers, that was obvious. excuse me? brody interjected. is there a problem here? he asked, already knowing the answer though. he looked with sympathy to the poor young girl, then back at the large old guy with a careful gaze. brody was slightly taller than the man, but the man was also just larger in general and could possibly crush him just by sitting on him. brody didn't care though, there was that arrogance again. brody felt invincible. like no one in the world had a special gift like his own. in broad daylight man? really, you've got to be kidding me. unhand her and apologize or we'll have to do this the hard way.. he told the man. there was nothing sarcastic about anything he said. brody was dead serious.
