so here's charlie; he's a twenty seven year old american born and raised in NYC, accent and all, and a graduate of salem's institute (usa hogwarts equivalent). he's here in london investigating the murder of his parents by tom riddle while he runs a sketchy bar called yank's in knockturn alley. charlie is friendly and likeable, but he is also incredibly irresponsible. he is strongly driven by passion and emotions and usually doesn't think things through too clearly.

It sucks that Olivia is so much younger because these two would be the best of friends if one were younger/older. Maybe she finally comes to her breaking point during a vacation and goes to Diagon Alley, accidentally going into Knockturn Alley without knowing and finding the bar there. They could talk maybe because she looks way too young to be there so....yeah. Not friends but maybe they just talk and she tells him about her parents' horrible marriage and how it tears her. Maybe he'd send her owls to check up on her every other month or something if he felt like it...yeah. Charlie is cute so I couldn't resist posting here.

ya maybe she could be lurking around somewhere and charlie could rescue her from someone trying to attack her and then he could escort her back to hogwarts or something? then he could check up on her because he feels bad to make sure she's safe and what not

oo or maybe like charlie throws some really rowdy wizard out of his bar, and then later as he's locking up to leave he sees that same crazy wizard trying to attack olivia so he rescues her and feels guilty so he keeps contact to make sure she doing ok at hogwarts

probably a magical attack.. charlie is an ex-auror so no matter how powerful the wizard was he wouldn't be too afraid to get all up in their biz! lol i'm gonna create a thread for them i'll pm you the link momentarily!

Gracie and Charlie: Perhaps they're friends and she helps him sometimes at the bar, just when it seems they're really busy. Gracie writes for the Daily Prophet and possibly Titus, her maybe love, works at the same bar so she probably drops by for him. Haha. These two could be friends though as well!

not sure, but i think they could have some interesting interactions. joanna is driven by logic and is very responsible... so seeing charlie being so driven by his emotions and irresponsible would drive her insane. in a lot of ways, they are opposites-- in a sense, i could see them being friends if he could put up with joanna's off putting demeanor and sarcasm, because i think she would end up feeling a bit protective of him-- feeling like he needs someone to know some sense into that head of his. or they could end up hating one another, too opposite to get along. not sure--but it could be interesting!

you're more than welcome! okay so i could see these two having some banter back and forth, but i think that they would be more like opposites, since she's so logical and rigid and he's very emotional and irresponsible, like you said. i think that he would totally call her out on her off-putting-ness and sarcasm and all that and so maybe she'd be annoyed at him for that, but at the same time, he's doesn't avoid her because of her meanness, he just isn't afraid to tell her when she's being a cold-hearted bitch and she isn't afraid to tell him that he needs to stop wearing his heart on his sleeve and be more logical. i'm thinking like a tit for tat sort of relationship with witty banter back and forth lol

perfect! definitely witty banter-- i guess the word i was looking for in all that was ... tolerance? they tolerate one another and as you said, aren't afraid to call the other out-- and that's something that while joanna finds annoying, she respects. <3 sounds good!
