Keira was trying her best not to sulk like a five-year old even after he assured her that he was fine with Death Eaters being in his bar, and that he wasn't afraid of them. Of course, having opened a bar at Knockturn Alley, it was hard not to expect Death Eaters. But she really hadn't wanted him to find out that she was a Death Eater.
Of course, the Dark Mark on her arm would've been an obvious indicator, but at least she could've told that to him herself.
"And i'm especially not afraid of you." Keira had to smile a little when she heard that. Suddenly, she felt so relieved that he wasn't running away like she had expected him to. He seemed pretty decent, and Keira knew decent men never went for Death Eater girls, no matter how attractive they were. Well, that was her thought till Charlie seemed to change her mind. She was just about to put the entire incident that had just occured behind her and continue her conversation with Charlie, when she heard the wardrobe behind Charlie shaking. For a brief moment, Keira wondered why in the world a wardrobe would just shake by itself without anyone in the room casting a spell at it.
And then she remembered. The boggart.
Fear seized her as Keira drew her wand again, though it was going to be of no help. The guilty conscience that would flood her mind when facing a boggart was enough to render he incapable of even blinking, let alone uttering 'Ridikulus'. She watched in horror as the boggart began to take a shape, though it seemed confused. With Charlie standing closest to it, it took the shape of his dead body, and Keira frowned. He feared death? His own death? He didn't seem like someone who did - she thought he was a pretty brave man.
But she wasn't given too long to ponder on that thought, since the boggart, sensing another presence, took the shape of her fears. The children whom she had mercilessly killed, in fear that Voldemort would kill her. She remembered them. She remembered their faces, their cries, even their names which had been screamed by their helpless parents. Keira gasped and pressed herself against the wall behind her, unable to move even an inch, momentarily forgetting that Charlie stood there.
Thankfully, the young children were there screaming for their lives for just one second, before switching back to Charlie's dead body, which was also quite unsettling. And then it was gone with Charlie's simple spell. Even after the boggart was back in the wardrobe, Keira couldn't find her voice or move her limbs. It had been long since she had encountered a boggart, and the children...their voices...Keira's heart was still thudding against her chest as she forced herself to block the cries out of her mind.
"d'you wanna... stay in my place for the night?" She heard him, and it took her a moment to compose herself and nod weakly. "Yeah...I...Yes, please," she whispered, swallowing hard to get rid of the dryness in her throat. He was a life saver, he really was. Keira couldn't imagine spending a night in a room where the boggart was powerful enough to escape the wardrobe without her even opening it, and the rain didn't seem to be stopping. With shaky legs, she slowly made her way towards Charlie, feeling more grateful than ever for his presence.
